About Heswall Concert Band

Heswall Concert Band was founded by Les Stevenson and four others in 1996. We play many genres of music including concert band classics, music from shows and films and even music composed and arranged by some of our members.

Our aim is to provide an environment for

'musicians of all ages and all abilities'

such that their creative musical talents may be enhanced, bringing joy to themselves and sharing this enjoyment with the local community.

We perform at a variety of venues each year and are always working on new opportunities that will develop our community links.  Our conductor is Greg Williams who has led the band since 2023.  We continue to grow and develop and always welcome new players.

Rehearsals take place every Sunday between 9:45am and 12:00pm and we always make time for a cuppa half way through.

Llangollen Eisteddford July 2024

What a great day we had - despite the rain! After a very early start, we performed at 10am on the main stage in the Pavillion which was a great experience.  After a couple of hours to take in other performances and visit the trade stalls, we played on the Globe stage.  This was under cover thankfully, although the sun did decide to show itself as we were playing.  We played to a full, appreciative house before travelling home.
